WAGON HOUSE RENTAL
The Wagon House Education Center is an integral part of the mission of The Olana Partnership: to inspire the public by preserving and interpreting Olana, Frederic Church’s masterpiece. The Olana Partnership’s vision is that the fully restored Olana, vibrant with the activity of students, visitors, and scholars, will be the most widely recognized artist’s home & studio in the world.
Approval
Business Members of TOP (The Olana Partnership) are given first priority based upon membership level and facility availability and can use the site for free a few times a year. For more information about becoming a Business Member, contact our Development office at 518-751-6857.
Chairs and Tables
The Wagon House chairs (65) and tables (4 six-foot folding tables) are available. The Event Sponsor agrees to leave the space exactly as they found it unless otherwise instructed. All set-up and clean up must be performed by Event Sponsor. Chairs and tables should be returned to where they were found, the floor should be swept with a broom, and all catering and other debris must be carried out. A user can rent tables and chairs (beyond our base) but there is a maximum of 65 in a theatre style seating arrangement and 35 with 4 rectangular tables.
Technology and Equipment
Computer, projector, pull down projection screen, window shades, 4 speaker sound system, small portable microphone system, conference call speaker phone with phone lines and dedicated phone line, wireless internet service, and heating and cooling system. There is also an easel white board (that can service large flip charts), markers, and other meeting support materials. We have a 2 coffee makers, 2 hot water kettles, thermos decanters, 2 sinks, and some refrigerator use.
Catering
The Olana Partnership (TOP) does not provide food or beverage services, and there are no cooking facilities on premises. Outside organizations using the Wagon House will have to arrange for all catering and associated permits, when applicable. Insurance
The applicant agrees to assume all responsibilities for damage and liability of any kind whatsoever. Certificate of Insurance (for larger events – 50 people or over) must be arranged by Event Sponsor and must name “The Olana Partnership” and “The People of the State of New York, Executive Department, the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, Taconic Region, its Officers, Agents, employees and assigns.” The Wagon House applicant/user must have $1,000,000 in liability coverage for both property damage and bodily injury.
