Member Event | A Guided Walk Through the Past & Future of Section 106 and Olana
During the period when Olana was nearly destroyed and saved, the groundbreaking National Preservation Act of 1966 was created. This created a national framework to protect historic sites such as Olana and included the Section 106 review, which has safeguarded Olana and its viewshed for decades.
Section 106 is now under threat. Join Sean Sawyer and Mark Prezorski for a landscape walk and discussion about Olana’s ongoing preservation history and hear how The Olana Partnership has relied on Section 106 to protect Olana for future generations.
This is an exclusive OLANA members event. Space is limited to the member and a guest.
Please RSVP by Friday, October 9th to Hannah Diamond at hdiamond@olana.org or call 518-751-6857.
