Birthday Parties at Olana
Celebrate a special day at Olana with birthday party programs designed for children and families ages 4 and up. Explore Olana’s landscape while exploring your child’s unique interests and favorite activities through a range of party program themes.
Party Program Themes:
- Eco Adventurer: Explore Olana’s history as a working farm through and learn more about the ecosystems and environments in Olana’s landscape. During this program, party goers will explore their relationships with different animals and insects, walk through Olana’s meadows which is home to native insects and honeybees, and create an artwork inspired by what grows in the Hudson River Valley.
- Junior Architect: Learn more about Frederic Church’s design for Olana and blueprint your own imagined house and landscape! During this program, participants will get a chance to explore architecture while inventing their own creations – perfect for children interested in world building games and fantasy.
- Victorian Teatime: What was daily life like for young people living at Olana in the 1800s? During this program, children will get a chance to step back in time and learn more about life at Olana for Frederic Church and his family. After exploring the site’s history, participants will get a chance to make their own Victorian-inspired dolls or natural tea blends to celebrate this special day.
Each program includes a landscape tour, artmaking workshop, and 1 hour in our Wagon House Education Center to celebrate. Programs are all led by The Olana Partnership educators. $400 for up to 15 children, up to 3 hours. Includes all art making supplies. To learn more email education@olana.org.
