Book Event – OLANA: Frederic Church’s Vision of Art and Landscape
Tuesday, November 17, 6 PM – 7:45 PM
Rizzoli Bookstore
1133 Broadway
New York, NY 10010
Showcasing one of the most breathtaking artist-designed homes and landscapes in the United States, “OLANA: Frederic Church’s Vision of Art and Landscape” immerses readers in the sweeping vision of artist Frederic Church (1826–1900), who transformed 250 acres overlooking the Hudson River into a harmonious blend of art, architecture, and panoramic scenery.
Join the Rizzoli Bookstore for a conversation with Sean E. Sawyer, President, The Olana Partnership, and Thomas L. Woltz, Principal, Nelson Byrd Woltz Landscape Architects, to celebrate the new book, “OLANA: Frederic Church’s Vision of Art and Landscape,” timed with the 200th anniversary celebration of Church’s birth. Sawyer and Woltz will be in conversation with freelance design journalist Ian Volner, followed by a book signing.
