On October 24, 2009, the Olana Partnership and the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation are joining with landowners to celebrate the beauty which surrounds Olana's 250-acre 19th century American Picturesque landscape. We invite you to stand high above the Hudson River Valley in rarely-seen locations and look back at Frederic Church's Olana. We invite you to experience first-hand the variety and magnificence of the region Frederic Church called "the center of the world."
While designing his landscape at Olana, Church specifically integrated his setting with neighboring properties by revealing and framing exceptional views. Come and enjoy the treasures of the area surrounding Church's Olana.
Participants are encouraged to bring binoculars and cameras.
